The most important part of you shaving ritual is the preparation.
Ideally Shave after a hot shower in the gym or at home.
Massage the GRAFTON BARBER Pre Shave Oil well into your bristle or beard, covering all areas especially under your nose and down your neck, and leave to soak for 30 seconds.
Use a couple of drops of warm water into the THE GRAFTON BARBER SHAVE SOAP – CREAM to soften the cream or soap.
Then place your BADGER HAIR shave brush into the bowl and using a thumb size amount on the top of the brush, use swirl motions to massage into your beard or bristle.
Cover all areas especially around the nose neck and just under your ear lobes (yes hair can grow there !)
Keeping the soap or cream moist at all times is very important, if it drys up it will be like trying to shave with sandpaper. Always reignite with warm water.
Mark out your lock at the side of your face under you ear and using a small bit of pressure, use firm downward strokes towards you neck.
Repeat all around your face, when you come to your nose, use your fingers to ‘pinch” the nose upward so you can get the razor right in tight. Pay particular caution to overdoing the strokes to avoid razor burn.
For a really close shave, you can redo the whole process and use upwardly strokes.
After your shave, splash cold water over your face to rinse off excess residue and also to close any pores.
Its always advisable to use THE GRAFTON BARBER aftershave balm to moisturise the skin and to cut down on razor burn or itch.
All razors are made with tempered steel so try to avoid using really hot water on the razor as this will distort the blade.
Fill a small glass with our Shave Oil and place your razor head into it after you finish shaving, this will prolong the blades life.
Use your fingers to ‘FEEL’ for any missed shave hair but be careful when you go over the area if its dry.
Nose hair is a unsightly thing and there is no point being CLEANED shaved with hair growing out of you nose and ears.
Why not try our GROOMATE to rid the unwanted nose and ear hair.
